This is the second Obama visit to a Spike Mendelsohn restaurant this month. Michelle Obama just visited Bearnaise, his steak frites joint, for her birthday (both restaurants are on Capitol Hill). A spokeswoman for the restaurant confirmed the president was in attendance but did not immediately have any further details.
