1) Columbia Heights: Chain restaurants in Columbia Heights always seem to generate controversy. Another has bit the dust. PoPville notes Ruby Tuesday has closed its doors in the neighborhood (the chain has also shuttered locations in Van Ness and Chinatown locally).
2) Bethesda: A revamp wasn't enough to save Roof in Bethesda. The restaurant and bar closed over the weekend, according to Bethesda Magazine. It was open for almost a year.
3) College Park: Ratsie's, a popular pizza destination for University of Maryland students, will eventually close, according to the Washington Business Journal. A Nando's Peri-Peri location will replace it. The restaurant has operated in College Park for more than 25 years, but isn't slated to close until next September.
