PETWORTH— The former Rib Pit location will get a mural honoring former Mayor Marion Barry, who died over the weekend, PoPville reports. Meanwhile, restaurant designer Brian Miller Tweets today, "Ben's Chili Bowl isn't going to get a better chance than right now to change that Cosby mural to a Barry mural." [PoP, Twitter]

MERRIFIELDGypsy Soul has launched an "Off the Cuff" happy hour where guests pick a liquor and ask bartenders to make up a drink featuring it. Drinks are $8 from 5-6:30 p.m. during the happy hour, and there are $4 bar snacks as well. [EaterWire]

CHEVY CHASE— Macon Bistro & Larder is launching "Spirit Hours" at the bar. From Tuesday-Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be cocktail flights of three mini-cocktails for $12. Mixologist Evan Cablayan will be on hand to answer questions, and the flights will have a different theme each week. [EaterWire]
