Mission BBQ, the regional chain with locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, keeps inching closer to D.C. The latest: a Laurel location, scheduled to open Nov. 10.
Mission's first location in Prince George's County will serve Texas brisket, North Carolina pulled pork sandwiches and more. The company is expanding quickly, with a goal of opening 40 locations by 2018 on the East Coast.
The company has a number of charity events scheduled for this week, prior to opening, including fundraisers benefitting police and fire departments, as well as the Wounded Warrior Project. Those kick off Wednesday. Status: Soft opening tomorrow; grand opening Nov. 10. 14712 Baltimore Ave., Laurel, Md.; website.
