Duffy's served its last batches of buffalo wings last night.
The bar at 2106 Vermont Ave. NW abruptly shuttered at midnight yesterday. "Come by and have a pint. Please note we will be closing at midnight. Thank you for everything," the bar's ownership wrote on Facebook.
PoPville talked to the owner, who said Duffy's was unable to dig itself out of a financial hole and was forced to close. The Irish pub frequently was voted "best wings" in various polls around town.
