A match made in heaven? Two iconic D.C. restaurant and retail institutions have decided to join forces.

Busboys & Poets locations have always included bookstores among the amenities available in their restaurants and cafes. Soon, they'll be partnering with Politics & Prose to have the Connecticut Ave. bookseller run the shops at Busboys.

The partnership will kick off with the opening of the Brookland Busboys next month. Politics & Prose will operate the bookstore there, as well as one opening in Takoma in January. Later next year, the company will assume operations of the stores in the existing Busboys restaurants (with the exception of the 14th and V location).

The new partnership should mean more events at Busboys restaurants, including book signings, author interviews, children's programming and more, according to a press release.
