Eric Ziebold Will Open Two Places Next Year: Kinship & A Still-Unnamed Fine Dining Spot

More details about the former CityZen chef's plans have emerged.

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

CityZen has now closed, which means Eric Ziebold will turn his attention to the new place he's opening in Shaw. Turns out it's "places," plural.

Tom Sietsema has more news on what Ziebold is planning for the space at 1015 7th St. NW. It will be two restaurants on two different levels. The more casual ground level restaurant will be called Kinship; the basement, fine dining restaurant has not yet been named.

Kinship will have a variety of dishes to choose from in different categories. The lower level restaurant will have a fireplace and a tasting menu. Home designer Darryl Carter is designing the space, which may open by September of next year.
