Friendly Competition of the Rose-Flavored at Compass Rose

Rose-monikered restos are battling it out.

If floral delights the palate make room for War of the Roses, a bartending competition between three of DC's aptly named restaurants. On Monday, Dec. 15, bartenders from Compass Rose, Jack Rose and Rose's Luxury will duke it out to see who can craft the tastiest rose-themed holiday cocktail — a $20 ticket (available at the door) allows members the DC public to vote, though official judges include food editors from Washington City Paper, Washington Post Express and Eater DC (ahem, yours truly.) It's held at Compass Rose and proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and local charity N Street Village. The competition starts at 7pm.
