Peet's Coffee and Tea, a California-based chain of coffee shops, is closing two of its area locations, but Washington Business Journal reports that the focus is definitely not shifting away from the DMV. As Eater previously reported, it seemed that after an abrupt shuttering of its Ohio stores, Peet's may have decided to focus on the D.C. area, and WBJ confirms as much. So while Peet's has closed its locations in Alexandria and Bristol, Virginia (the former having been open for only a handful of months), the company says it's looking for more real estate in this region for expansion.
