Tysons Corner residents, your Founding Farmers is coming — just be patient.
February will mark the opening of the latest location of the farm-to-table restaurant. It's the largest location yet, housed in the ground floor of 1800 Tysons Boulevard near the new metro station.
The restaurant will be a whopping 12,000 square feet in size, stretching over multiple levels with a big bar. VSAG, the company that operates the restaurant, will design it with Grizform Design Architects. They're shooting for the LEED Gold environmental certification. Design details will include a working phone booth, "bird's nest basket" lighting fixtures and locally made furniture.
About 35 percent of the menu will focus on Virginia recipes and ingredients. There will be a weekend brunch with a buffet, 12 rotating beers (all from Virginia) and a juice cleanse from beverage director Jon Arroyo that people can drink in the restaurant or on the go, according to a press release. The cocktails will emphasize Virginia gins and whiskeys.
