New York, D.C. is officially jealous of your Shake Shack breakfast sandwiches.
Grand Central Station became the first location outside of an airport to serve Shake Shack breakfast sandwiches today. There are three types: a sausage, egg, and cheese, a bacon, egg, and cheese, and a plain egg and cheese.
Hmm. New York has a train-station Shake Shack. So does D.C.: the recently-opened Union Station location. Does that mean breakfast sandwiches are coming? Not so much. A spokeswoman for Shake Shack says, "We're focused on bringing breakfast to Grand Central Terminal only, for now."
D.C. will be waiting.
