"I have it on pretty good authority from one of my "sawces" that chef Frank Ruta is about to take, or has taken, a job at Capella in Georgetown," Todd Kliman wrote in his weekly chat today. Eater has reached out to Capella to find out if the rumor is true. Ruta, the former chef of Palena, has been cooking Bread Feast dinners at Bread Furst in recent months.
UPDATE: The Post confirmed the news today. Former Palena pastry chef Aggie Chin is also headed to the property. Ruta starts in his new role at The Grill Room Jan. 1. He hopes to make the restaurant more accessible, and bring more French and Italian influence to the menu.
