PALISADES— Turns out it's taking BlackSalt a bit longer to reopen than expected. The restaurant, which suffered a minor fire Sunday, had to have a fan replaced in their hood, and are still waiting on the part and installation. They'll likely reopen Thursday or Friday. [EaterWire]
IVY CITY— Union Kitchen will expand to a second facility. The restaurant and food incubator said on its webpage today that it will open a second location that "will more than triple the square footage and house an estimated 70 additional members." [Official Site]
ADAMS MORGAN— Mintwood Place seems pretty confident the snow projections are more dramatic than they need to be. So they're making a wager. If D.C. gets four inches of snow (or more), the entire menu will be available for happy hour prices all night Thursday. [Facebook]
