Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events and promotions going on around the city:

atlasbrewworks.jpg1) Atlas Brew Works Meets Atlas Intersections
Where: 2052 West Virginia Ave NE Suite 102
When: Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m.
What: The brewery will host All Points West chamber ensemble for an open rehearsal on Saturday. The event serves as a preview of sorts of their performance at the Atlas Intersections festival March 1, held at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. Admission is free; beer tastings are $5.

jamieleeds.jpg2) Beer & Oyster Hoist
Where: Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay
100 Heron Blvd. at Route 50
Cambridge, Maryland
When: All weekend
What: Up for a road trip? Local chef Jamie Leeds of Hank's Oyster Bar will host this three day event. Victory Brewing is also involved. Expect a beer and oyster happy hour, a tasting, a five course oyster dinner and more. More info here.

blacksquirreltaps.jpg3) Hopslam vs Nugget Nectar
Where:The Black Squirrel
2427 18th Street NW
When: Friday, 5 p.m.
What: The Black Squirrel showcases two hops-heavy beers this weekend, including Bell's Hopslam (found in several bars throughout the city this week) and Troegs Nugget Nectar. Attendees will help decide which beer reigns supreme. More info here.

foodwinefest.png4) Washington's International Food & Wine Festival
Where: Ronald Reagan International Trade Center
When: Friday and Saturday
1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW
What: Inclement weather unfortunately meant the Food & Wine festival had to cancel its Festival Marketplace show, since many vendors had their deliveries affected by the storm. But the main events and the master classes of the festival live on. There are samples of more than 100 wines, live music performances and more. The website has more.

rosaparks.jpg5) Gospel Brunch with Wax Rosa Parks
Where:The Mansion on O
2020 O St. NW
When: Sundays at 11 a.m.
What: The Rosa Parks wax statue from Madame Tussaud's is apparently on loan to the Mansion on O right now, and they're building a gospel brunch event around it. Didn't see this one coming. It's $45 per person to hang with fake Rosa. Here's more information.

ALSO THIS WEEKEND: It's Valentine's Day, so make a last minute reservation, indulge in something gimmicky or avoid the holiday all together...George Washington's birthday means hoecakes at Mount Vernon.
