Southern style gets a contemporary update in the new Carolina Kitchen space. The third restaurant in Lance London's empire occupies 6,000 square feet on Rhode Island Row. Focal points include an impressive glass oyster bar, old school whiskey bottles, a city skyline and accessories such as a classic model car collection decorating the space. The 152-seat restaurant has murals and artwork on the walls, and a 40 seat private dining space along the mezzanine. London worked with Tom Mulhearn and Andrea Mulhearn of 2 Scale Interiors LLC on the design.

The menu is pure Southern comfort food (here it is) with dishes like fried green tomatoes and asparagus, southern fried lobster tail, Creole grilled salmon and more. The menu will be familiar to guests of the original two locations, with new additions like a sweet potato milkshake. London will open TKO Burger, a Southern-inspired burger joint, next to Carolina Kitchen in the weeks following Carolina Kitchen's late February opening.
