1) Grab a Fried Chicken Bucket at Trummer's

When: Starting this Sunday.
What: Trummer's on Main is launching fried chicken buckets, starting this Sunday. The chef's version of fried chicken is soaked in buttermilk, Tabasco and salt and then fried. The buckets come with dipping sauces and biscuits and are priced at $22, available at the bar.
2) PieFest
Where:The Brixton

When:Saturday
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
What:The Brixton is hosting Dangerously Delicious Pies, Satellite Room, Teeny Pies, Danielle's Desserts and more, and they're all making pie. A $10 ticket earns attendees unlimited pie samples, one Pie Punch and more. Tickets here.
3) Cassoulet dinner at 2941
Where: 2941
2941 Fairview Park Drive Falls Church, Va.
When: Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
What:For the fifth year running, 2941 is hosting a multi-course dinner centered around cassoulet. The winter-friendly dish is one of three courses, which are all paired with wine for $90.
4) Bingo's back at Hill Country
Where:Hill Country Barbecue Market

When:Sunday at 1 p.m.
What: Bingo at Hill Country is officially becoming a thing. The drill: the $10 minimum gets participants 10 game cards to play with. There are prizes to go along with the barbecue and festiveness.
5) Italian cooking class
Where: Osteria Marzano
6361 Walker Ln #140, Alexandria, Virginia
When: Saturday at 11 a.m.
What:Chef Carmine Marzano will teach a class focusing on the foods of the Calabria region, where the chef is from. Dishes will include pesce spada carpaccio (swordfish), a pasta with pork and goat sauce and zeppoli with ricotta cream.
