Wisdom's Gin Club; New Menu at Rappahannock

SOUTHEAST— Wisdom is kicking off a new gin club this Thursday. To celebrate the occasion, they'l be hosting a bunch of gin distributors, and owner Erik Holzherr is planning a lecture on his love of gin and how to mix the spirit. DUPONT CIRCLE— Happy one year anniversary, Mari Vanna. To celebrate, the Dupont Circle Russian joint has a VIP event, and will open to the public at 9 p.m. for birthday cake, free champagne and karaoke. [EaterWire]

NORTHEAST— Rappahannock Oyster Bar has new hours, a new menu and most importantly, a month long happy hour. The restaurant within Union Market is open until 9 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays now, and until 8 p.m. on Sundays. About that happy hour: get $1 oysters and $4 beer and wine on Tuesdays-Saturdays from 7-9 p.m. and on Sundays from 6-8 p.m. The new menu has dishes like Za'atar seared tuna tataki with tabbouleh, steamed clams with sake broth and more.
