Cochon 555 Dinner; StartUp Kitchen Takes a Breather

Two time D.C. winner Scott Drewno is hosting the guest chefs of the tour on Friday for a five-course dinner. ALEXANDRIA— Ready for spring yet? Celebrate its arrival at Brabo Sunday. Chef Harper McLure will host a Vernal Equinox party at the restaurant with a whole lamb, pairings and more. It's $50 per person. [EaterWire]

SHAWRogue 24 will host a wine dinner on March 27 featuring the wines from Sanguis Wines of Santa Barbara. The dinner is priced at $225 per person, and includes pairings and multiple courses, such as a 2011 Loner Pinot Noir paired with swordfish, olive components and sea grasses. PETWORTH— The most recent edition of Startup Kitchen, the restaurant incubator program from ThinkLocalFirst and Domku's Kera Carpenter, has been nixed. Washington Business Journal reports there weren't enough qualified applicants this time around. [WBJ]
