Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining and nightlife events and promotions going on around the city:

denofthieves.jpg1) Dub's Pub
Where: Den of Thieves
2005 14th St. NW
When: Launches Friday night from 6-9 p.m.
What: This new weekly event features D.C.'s Wes Felton. The DJ will highlight the best in "past present and future rare grooves". There will also be live performances and listening parties. Ari Lennox will be there Friday. No cover.

2) Cuban Street Food Class

Where:Del Campo
777 I St. NW
When:Saturday 12-3 p.m.
What: Victor Albiso's Latin street food classes continue. This one will cover such topics as empanada making, ham croquetas, Cubano sandwiches, the frita burger and more. Cuban cocktails will be paired with the food. Cost for the class is $98 per person. Reservations are required.

Where:City Tap House
801 Eye St. NW
When:Sunday during brunch hours
What: DC Brau and City Tap House will partner up on the last Sunday each month, beginning this weekend. Brau Brunch will feature a tap takeover by the local brewery, along with pairings for each of the restaurant's brunch items. The restaurant may create some special beer-inspired dishes to match as well. Reservations are recommended.

Where:Al Dente
3201 New Mexico Ave. NW
When:Sunday at 6 p.m.
What: Roberto Donna is pairing a five-course menu with wines from Abruzzo, Italy, home of the Marramiero Winery. Some of the planned dishes include grilled garlic bread topped with clams, leeks and tomato, as well as spaghetti alla Chitarra with Sugo Finto. The dinner is priced at $75, which includes pairings. Reservations are required.

Where:Campono
600 New Hampshire Ave, NW
When: Opens Friday
What: Campono, Bob Kinkead's newest restaurant, opens in the Watergate building on Friday. The restaurant is casual and self-serve, and features pizzas, Italian entrees and pastries. They'll be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
