Sprinkles Says D.C.'s Cupcake ATM Will Arrive This Fall

Fall 2014. That's when Sprinkles plans to unleash its cupcake ATM on D.C., according to a spokeswoman. The ATM launched in New York on the Upper East Side about a week ago. Washington Business Journal heard last week the ATM was coming to D.C., but didn't have a timeline.

A cupcake ATM has been mulled for D.C. before, but plans seem more tangible this time around. The machine dispenses cupcakes 24 hours a day, regardless of whether the store is open. Sprinkles' single D.C. location is in Georgetown.
