What to Eat at Nationals Park, Home of the Nationals

Concessions at Nationals Park have been steadily improving over the past several years. This year marks the arrival of some additional excitement, from Mike Isabella's new G sandwich stand to vendors offering sushi, stir fry, burritos and crabcakes. The question of what to eat at Nationals Park got substantially easier to answer a couple years back with the arrival of New York restaurateur Danny Meyer's four ballpark conceptsShake Shack, El Verano, Blue Smoke and Box Frites. But the ballpark has always been one of the city's better options, food-wise — there are also the outposts of Washington's iconic Ben's Chili Bowl, H Street's Shawafel and much more.

Additionally, four outposts are serving up local beers this year from Atlas Brew Works, DC Brau, 3 Stars, Port City and Mad Fox. Dining outside the ballpark has been steadily improving as well, with new arrivals this year including Bluejacket Brewery, Osteria Morini, Agua 301 and more.

Editor's Note: A spokesman for the Nats said that no vendors were replaced this year, though some were moved around to make room for new stands. Specific new locations for the relocated vendors were not immediately available at press time.

Nationals Park's Five Standouts

Early offerings from the chef will include a "Sandwich of the Homestand," as well as the Chicken Parm, Italian Hero and The Drewno (a kielbasa sandwich created by the chef from The Source).
