Rebellion DC is Coming; Red Hen to Open Mondays

BLOOMINGDALEThe Red Hen will no longer be closed on Mondays. The restaurant has extended its schedule (starting March 10), and will be open from 5:30 to 10 p.m.. Look for some early spring menu items like a ricotta cavatelli dish with peas, when the Monday service launches. [EaterWire]

ADAMS MORGAN— Another whiskey bar for Adams Morgan? Washingtonian has the scoop on Rebellion DC (yes, that's named for the whiskey rebellion). It will open at 1836 18th Street; here's the Facebook page. [Washingtonian, FB]

FALLS CHURCH— Falls Church has a new dessert option in Sweet Belly Cookies. Northern Virginia Magazine writes that the bakery is aiming for a May opening, with a pop-up event scheduled before that. [NoVa Mag]
