AWARDS SEASONThe Washington Post publishes its third list of 40 Dishes that Every Washingtonian Must Try. This year's edition is largely items from new restaurants, like vegan ramen at Daikaya and the salmon BLT from Neopol Smokery at Union Market. But there are also some classics, like Old Ebbitt Grill's oysters. Take a look; some great dishes here. [WaPo]

CHINATOWN— Next up for the ever-expanding Cava Grill fast-casual chain: Chinatown. They've signed a lease for 707 H Street NW. According to a press release, it will open this summer. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILLTortilla Coast has a new spring menu at its Capitol Hill location. There are new tacos, build-your-own-burritos and enchiladas, BBQ brisket and chicken fried steak dishes, and more. [EaterWire]

MOUNT VERNON TRIANGLEAlba Osteria is introducing a Thursday night "Chef Bar" tasting menu. It's a changing six-course menu with pairings, featuring the work of Chef Amy Brandwein (sounds a lot like the Roberto Donna menu at sister restaurant Al Dente). The cost is $80 per person and it is available at 7 p.m. each week. [EaterWire]
