DUPONT CIRCLE— Female-friendly (unless they're marketing it otherwise) steakhouse STK has an opening date. The restaurant is looking to open its doors April 25. They also have a new chef in Marc Hennessy, a Chicago native and veteran of BLT Steak. [EaterWire]
DEL RAY— The Front Porch, essentially the patio at Evening Star Cafe, has reopened for the season. This time, they're serving up Polish street food, with an emphasis on zapiekanka (French bread pizza). They'll also have hushpuppies, jambalaya and the return of some items from last year, like a Bourbon Slush, from chef Jim Jeffords. [EaterWire]
GEORGETOWN— John Critchley has left his position at Bourbon Steak. Tim Carman reports the chef is taking a break for a few months, with the hopes of eventually opening his own place. [WaPo]
DUPONT CIRCLE— Speaking of chef shuffles, Paul Pelt has also left his long term gig at The Tabard Inn. Going Out Guide follows up on the story and discovers the chef signed a confidentiality agreement and isn't talking. A statement says he left for "other opportunities." [DR, GoG]
