Dennis Marron, who has been Poste's chef for the past several years, is leaving the Penn Quarter restaurant for a new position within Kimpton.
The chef will leave his role in July. Kimpton didn't specify exactly what Marron's new job will be, but a spokeswoman says it will be to open a new restaurant within the hotel company in Pittsburgh (the concept's still being worked out). Since the chef will be at the restaurant through mid-summer, it gives the company several months to find a replacement.
Update: Pittsburgh's PG Plate gets more details from Marron on his plans there; he'll be based at the upcoming Hotel Monaco.
