Visitors shouldn't have trouble remembering the name of the bar once they step inside Barrel, the new pig, whiskey and beer project at 613 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. Barrels are everywhere, along with plenty of wood, exposed brick, and rows and rows of bourbon, and there's a bit of an apothecary theme to the look.
Beyond meat dishes like porchetta and rabbit sausage, Barrel also is serving up items such as daily homemade pastas from chef Garret Fleming.
