&pizza to Open Brookland Store Monday, with a Patio

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Burgeoning pizza chain &pizza opens its latest location in Brookland Monday, and it will be the first location of the fast casual restaurant to offer patio seating.

The restaurant, in the Monroe Street Market development, will look like the others of the same name, with a black and white design, but with some bigger imagery and a high ceiling. Bathrooms will have mirrored tile and characters created by local artist Kelly Towles. There's an ampersand made of cut steel on the outside of the restaurant. The restaurant wil be open all day, until 11 p.m. on weekdays and midnight on weekends. Status: Opening Monday. 664-666 Monroe Street NE, Washington, DC; website.
