Pizza Parts & Service, from Taylor Team, Opens TODAY

The Taylor Gourmet team has transformed Steak & Ice into a pizza joint. Pizza Parts & Service opens today.

The menu has whole pizzas and pizzas by the slice, with toppings ranging from the traditional (pepperoni) to the New York-friendly (meatball) to the more unusual (broccoli rabe). There are also garlic knots, wings, calzones and salads. An important piece of information: in two weeks, they'll launch delivery.

Nowhere to be found on the menu: cheesesteaks, the former focus of the restaurant space. The Taylor team promised cheesesteaks were "by no means dead" when Steak & Ice went dark. And here's the scoop on that front: Taylor plans to roll out cheesesteaks to all Taylor locations, ideally in August, according to a spokesman. Status: Opening today. 1320 H Street NE; website.
