Embassy Chef Challenge Returns; Carb Fest at Urbana

DUPONT CIRCLE— Low carb may be the more common trend, but Urbana will appeal to the high-carb crowd this weekend in anticipation of the Nike Women's Half Marathon. The restaurant is offering an all you can eat pasta menu for $20 the night before the weekend's race. Dishes will also emphasize healthy ingredients like kale and salmon for energy. [EaterWire]

METRO CENTER— The Embassy Chef Challenge is back. The fundraiser for Cultural Tourism DC will be held for the sixth year running on May 15 at the Reagan Building.
