Is Momofuku Headed to CityCenter DC?

New, 8 comments

Eater checked into Nycci Nellis' groundbreaking tweet this morning saying David Chang's Momofuku is landing at CityCenter DC. (Momofuku's camp averted the inquiry, saying the only confirmed restaurant project they're working on is moving Momofuku Ko to Extra Place.)

Hines managing director Howard Riker had no comment but does confirm there are now commitments for all of CityCenter's restaurant spaces (aside from a small 1,200 square foot spot looking for a fast-casual concept). Transactions are being finalized and he expects to make big announcements this month.

Riker's happy with the future lineup of food options, which includes a mix of full service sit-down options, grab and go, and fresh poultry, meat, and fish meant for off-premise consumption. If the famed Asian fusion restaurant ends up at CityCenter, Chang would be joining another big NYC celebrity chef. Daniel Boulud's DBGB Bar & Kitchen inked a lease there last year, and Riker says that site is still under construction.
