PENN QUARTER— This Arcane Supper Club just looks nuts. Washington City Paper visits the "underground" dining experience, where there are risque doctor costumes, "blow job" banana push pops and twerking. Oh, and some Mexican/Asian food. The Washington Post has its own take, which sounds like a dispatch from SNL's Stefon. [WCP, WaPo]

SHIRLINGTONThe Curious Grape has snagged a new cheesemonger. American Cheese Society-certified Katie Carter comes to the restaurant from Sona Creamery and Wine Bar. She'll be developing more cheese plates (including a beer cheese plate) and pairings for the restaurant, and will make cheese in-house. [EaterWire]
