Anticipated Spring Openings; Frenchie's to Expand

KICKSTARTIN'— Bakery Frenchie's is doing the Kickstarter thing to raise money for an expansion to a new space in D.C. They're looking to raise almost $40,000 for equipment and supplies. The bakery, whose products are sold at such places as Seasonal Pantry and La Colombe in Shaw, is hoping to open in the Atlas District. [Kickstarter]

MERRIFIELDOvvio Osteria is adding a gluten-free menu to the mix. They're developing gluten-free pizzas and pastas (many dishes on the menu, such as appetizers and salads) are already gluten-free. [EaterWire]
