Fairfax to Get Region's First Kona Grill

A sushi and grilled food chain with more than 20 locations is setting up shop in Fair Oaks Mall.

Kona Grill will open in Fairfax in summer 2015, according to a press release from the mall. The restaurant is the company's first in Northern Virginia. They cook up steaks, seafood and sushi and are known for cocktails. They also have separate "skinny," gluten-free and vegan menus.

Fair Oaks Mall is in the midst of a multi-million dollar renovation. New restaurants such as Brio Tuscan Grille and On the Border are coming there this fall.
