GRK Brings Fast-Casual Greek to Dupont

A new fast-casual Greek restaurant will open in Dupont Circle.

New York-based chain GRK is headed to 1140 19th St. NW. It'll be the first location of the restaurant in the D.C. area.

GRK specializes in customizable "Yeero" (a cutesy speling for gyro), Greek yogurt, salads and sides. The yogurts can be topped with sweet or savory items, from rose petal to fig preserves. They'll offer lunch, dinner and late night dining.

GRK will have a patio , wine and beer, and Illy coffee. Alex Alevras, George Nikasand Peter Psaromatis are opening the restaurant. Plans are for 8-10 more locations over the next few years. The Dupont Circle location will open sometime this summer.
