Robert Irvine Plans Pentagon Restaurant

Interesting news for the military crowd — Restaurant: Impossible star Robert Irvine appears to be opening a restaurant in the Pentagon.

The Wall Street Journal picked up a Tweet from the chef earlier this week saying as much. Pentagon officials confirmed to them a restaurant may be in the works.

The Washington Business Journal followed up with Irvine's team. The restaurant is going to be called Robert Irvine Fresh Kitchen, and emphasize healthy fare, and also serve pizzas and sandwiches.

The Pentagon's dining facilities obviously are geared towards its workers rather than the general public, so it'd be an interesting first D.C. move for the chef. The Pentagon's current offerings are largely fast food operations like Popeye's and Burger King.
