Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining and nightlife events and promotions going on around the city:
1) Corn Dog O'Clock
Both D.C. locations
When: All weekend long
What: Shake Shack is bringing back its corn dog offerings especially for the weekend. From Friday-Monday, try the Shack Corn Dog, an all-beef dog fried in corn batter and topped with Rick's Picks sweet corn relish. They're also doing a pecan pie concrete for the weekend.
2) Distillery Tour
Where:Don Ciccio & Figli
6031 Kansas Ave. NW Washington, DC
When: Saturday 1-4 p.m.
What:The limoncello and liqueur factory from Francesco Amodeo is kicking off its tours this weekend. There will be samples of all the products, and visitors can purchase a bottle of their favorite liqueur as well.
3) Drink Late at a Bar
When: Memorial Day weekend, until 4 a.m.
What: Provided they filled out a form and cleared it with the city's alcohol control department, many bars in D.C. can stay open late all weekend (through Monday) due to the holiday. Here's the full list of eligible bars, ranging from Bar Pilar to 18th Street Lounge.
4) Crab Festival
1904 14th St. NW
When:Sunday 12-5 p.m.
What: The Crab Festival is back for the fourth year running at Policy. Participants get all-you-can-eat crabs, plus beer specials, music, fixings and more. It's $45 to get in. Tickets are here.
5) Cure Dinner
Where:The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm
When:Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
What:Justin Severino, chef of Cure in Pittsburgh, is hosting a special dinner at Restaurant at Patowmack Farm. There's a reception, with a four course dinner to follow. The event is $89. More info here.
