1) Shaw: Tonight is the grand opening party for the new location of Fishnet at Progression Place. Expect a restaurant similar to the College Park original, with fresh fish entrees, sandwiches and more. Tonight's event kicks off at 6 p.m. and is cash only; all food is 50 percent off. 2) Bethesda: Heckman's Delicatessen has opened in Bethesda. Robert Dyer's blog has photos and an opening menu. They're going to serve up breakfast, salads, sandwich and deli classics like knishes and latkes. Status: Open. 4914 Cordell Ave.; no website yet.

3) Van Ness: PoPville Sends word Laliguras Indian & Nepali Bistro has opened its doors. Looks like a hybrid Indian-Nepali menu. Status: Open. 4221 Connecticut Ave, NW; no website yet.
