Boss Shepherd's Aims to be a D.C. Power Spot

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Boss Shepherd's is hoping to join the ranks of power spots like Bombay Club and Joe's Seafood when it opens next to the Warner Theater this July.

Restaurateur Paul Cohn said in a press release that he hopes the place will be "filled with DC's power players" when it debuts next month. It will serve American comfort food from chef Jeremy Waybright, as well as speciality cocktails, wine and beer.

The restaurant is named for a former D.C. political boss and governor who ran the town after the Civil War — the restaurant's in view of a statue of Shepherd.
