Former Bombay Club Line Cook Planning New Place

A new Indian restaurant appears to be coming to 2020 P St. NW in Dupont Circle.

Advisory Neighborhood Commission candidate Kishan Putta Tweeted last night that word of a new Indian restaurant came up at last night's ANC meeting. The restaurant will reportedly be called India Gate, and the chef has a connection to Bombay Club in D.C.

The name of the chef wasn't immediately available but a spokeswoman for Bombay Club owner Ashok Bajaj confirmed the individual opening the restaurant is a line cook at Bombay Club who is leaving the restaurant in a few weeks to work at the new restaurant. Bajaj is not involved in project. That address formerly housed Eola. Eater will update when any more information is available.
