Today, Penn Quarter. Tomorrow, the world. Fast-casual pizza chain &pizza continues its sweep of the area with its fifth location, now open near E Street Cinema.
The restaurant at 1005 E Street is going for a theatrical, Hollywood-inspired look, in black and white, with film stocks and a marble service line. There are 45 globe-shaped marquee lights illuminating the restaurant.
Naturally, there is an ampersand (in textured metal), as well as a mural from Buster Keaton's film Three Ages. Status: Opening today at 11 a.m. 1005 E St. NW; website.
