Hogo Closure Coming; Smith Public Trust Opens

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

ASHBURN— A chain called Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant out of Illinois will open sometime next year in Ashburn. Washington Business Journal reports a Richmond location is on the way, too. [WBJ]

MOUNT VERNON TRIANGLE— When Hogo eventually closes this summer, it sounds like the shutter will, in fact be permanent. Tom Brown tells Going Out Guide that he thinks the concept has run its course (that block will eventually be affected by redevelopment). Hogo will likely close in August, while The Passenger's closing date isn't set. [GoG]

BROOKLAND— New bar and restaurant Smith Public Trust had its soft opening, according to PoPville. The menu ranges from watermelon salad to pancakes. [PoP]
