1) Columbia Heights: Lyman's Tavern, whose owners hail from such other haunts as The Raven and Cafe Saint-Ex, opened its doors last evening. The bar has several pinball machines, draft beer and a limited food menu. Status: Certified open. 3720 14th St. NW; website.
2) Tysons Corner: America Eats Tavern has opened for breakfast and lunch service within the Ritz-Carlton. A spokeswoman confirmed the opening but would not say when dinner service is expected to begin (though it should happen this week). The José Andrés restaurant is a reincarnation of his former place in Penn Quarter. Status: Soft opening (lunch and breakfast only). 1700 Tysons Blvd.; website.
3) Atlas District: It's worth noting that The Argonaut's new covered patio in the back of the building has debuted. There are some photos on the restaurant's Facebook page. Status: Patio open. 1433 H St. NE; website.
