Richard Wiggins has been appointed executive chef at the W Washington D.C. He will oversee all the hotel's dining operations, including a new restaurant that will replace J&G.
Wiggins has worked with Starwood Hotels, which manages the W, since 2006. He will oversee the POV lounge, the hotel's Living Room and Great Room, banquet and events, in-room dining at the hotel and the new restaurant, which will change to something new this summer.
Details on the new restaurant were not forthcoming, but the hotel's five year contract with J&G ends June 23. J&G got a new look last fall, but reopened to lukewarm reviews.
