D.C. has lost one of its ramen shops. Taan Noodles closed its doors over the weekend. The restaurant posted this notice on its website:
"To our wonderful patrons and ramen lovers, we're sad to announce that Taan Noodles has closed. Thank you for all your support over the last couple of years. We will miss the wonderful community of Adams Morgan."
Taan had some issues early in its brief tenure in Adams Morgan. An employee announced on Twitter that the restaurant would close last January, but it ended up reopening under a new chef.
RunIn DC first noted the impending closure. Adams Morgan still has a ramen shop in Sakuramen.
Update: A new seafood joint from two Cashion's Eat Place partners will replace Taan.
