Next Up for the Yards: Oysters and Wine

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

The Navy Yard Oyster Company, from the restaurant owners behind two Capitol Hill restaurants, will open at The Yards development sometime next spring.

The project comes from August Paro (Beuchert's Saloon) and Elias Hengst (Sonoma Wine Bar). The friends are also working together on another new restaurant called Stanton, according to the release (though not a lot of information has been released about it; perhaps the restaurant that is replacing Pour House?). Update: Yes, that's the project in question, though a rep did not have any further details on it.

The restaurant will occupy about 1,887 square feet in a two story historic building with exposed roof truss work of the original building. They're designing the place and collecting the reclaimed materials and fixtures for it themselves.

Expect local oysters, plenty of wines by the glass, and cocktails highlighting local distilleries. They plan to serve lunch, dinner and brunch at the restaurant within the Forest City development.
