It took them some time, but the brewery operation of Bardo Brewpub is getting off the ground. They passed their inspection last week, and owner Andrew Stewart tells Eater that they will start their first brew this Tuesday.
The bar will brew four times this week and hopes to have its first beer available in about three weeks. They're working on the following varieties:
IPA
Oak-aged IPA
Dry-hopped IPA
Stout
Oak aged Stout
Dry-hopped Stout
Pale Ale
Oak aged pale ale
Marion Berry ale
Ginger beer
Ginger Honey Rattler (a ginger beer shandy)
If all goes well, that means they'll have beers ready in time for D.C. Beer Week next month. Bardo, the reworked version of the former Arlington bar of the same name (at one point also called Dr. Dremo's), has been operating as an outdoor beer garden of sorts for just over a year.
