Poste Moderne Brasserie has a new chef. Kyoo Eom will replace Dennis Marron (who left town to run a new Kimpton restaurant in Pittsburgh).
Eom recently worked as a chef de cuisine for Falls Church's 2941 Restaurant. He also has worked for Daniel Boulud, at both DB Bistro Moderne and Cafe Boulud, training under Andrew Carmellini.
Eom won't introduce major changes to Poste's menu until the fall, but he'll preview some new dishes during Summer Restaurant Week next month. Poste's concept will remain the same, and Eom plans to emphasize "classic dishes with a modern twist," according to a press release. Look for new items like a beef short rib French Onion Soup, Cote de Boeuf for Two and more. He'll maintain the restaurant's extensive garden as well.
Meanwhile, Marron's new Pittsburgh restaurant, The Commoner, will open in a new Hotel Monaco this fall.
