Soup dumplings are notoriously hard to find in D.C. But at least one more restaurant is now featuring them: Ping Pong Dim Sum.
The restaurant serves the dumplings (also known as xia long bao) filled with pork in a wheat flour pastry, with fresh ginger and black vinegar sauce. According to a social media rep, the dumplings are new to the spring/summer menu, though they made a brief (and popular) appearance as a special for Chinese New Year. Find them at both D.C. locations. They're on the dim sum menu for $6.75 per order.
