La Tomate's Casual Counterpart Has Opened

The grand opening for longtime Dupont Italian restaurant La Tomate's more casual cafe is today. La Tomate Caffe will serve brioche, sweets, coffee drinks, juices, breakfast items, charcuterie, panini and more. They'll also have some pre-packaged products, like soups and sauces, as well as cocktails, wine and beer. Milan-based architect Fillipo Taidelli designed the space, adjacent to the bistro. The move represents the restaurant's aim to appeal to a broader customer base, the owner told Eater last March.
