Mead has been popping up more and more on D.C. menus lately. Among the places that has showcased the honey-accented brew has been Doi Moi. They'll go even further with a special beer dinner next week.
Brad Dahlholfer, founder of B. Nektar Meadery, will visit the restaurant next Tuesday for a four course dinner that will help showcase how mead and Southeast Asian cuisine can complement each other.
Attendees will get to try out such mead varieties as the Necromangocon (mango, honey and black pepper) and the Wildflower Mead made with Michigan wildflower honey. The dinner is $60 per person and scheduled for 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday. Reservations are required.
